Louise Vyent

Louise Vyent is a Dutch model of Surinamese heritage. She was married to, but later divorced, former male model Walter Schupfer and they had two children. In the late '80s and early '90s, Vyent was one of the fashion industry's most sought-after black models. She appeared in the 1990 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and the Victoria's Secret catalog. She also worked for Revlon and appeared on numerous covers for international editions of Glamour, as well as covers for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. She also had a role in the 1992 Eddie Murphy comedy Boomerang.

Vyent was notable for her glamorously styled long hair, which she was more likely to wear plainly when not modeling. By the early 2000s, she was not as ubiquitous as she had been at the height of her career, but she continued to model nonetheless. She has since retired from modeling. After briefly working as an interior design consultant, she became a portrait photographer, specializing in teenagers. She is currently based in Montclair, New Jersey.
